Scope This Out

Woot! Shammy finally got Schematic: Khorium Scope. XD Now I can level his Engineering to 375 and craft my epic flyer. I must have carried over some awesome from the beta. :p

Here's hoping that the scopes sell for a good deal of gold, because I spent over 800g on the mats (for levelling to 375). :/

Beta Log: Lichdate 2008-09-11

I played the beta for a bit today. So far all I have really experienced is about as much as I did back in the alpha. I have only played my mage. It has been a mission to try and get addons to work, but quartz, pitbull and fubar all seem to work fine, so that is good.

I like Living Bomb. What I don't like is the mana inefficiency of fire. I also can't see the debuff on mobs so don't know the timer on Living Bomb.

Questing so far seems to be pretty straightforward, although I have had to check Wowhead for locations of certain things. I guess I just don't want to ride around aimlessly attempting to figure out where to go to complete any given quest. But then, once I've done them, when the expansion goes live I will zerg through them easily. :p

I have taken two screenshots. One didn't save. It was just the generic WotLK loading screen. The other one is of Stormwind harbour. I beg forgiveness for my lame UI at the time. I will take more screenies as time goes on, including replacing this one with a better shot of SWH, but I'm about as much of an in-game screenshotter as I am a photographer in the logged out world. That is to say, I don't take many pictures of what I experience. :/

Unfortunately, Murmer, the premade PvP characters realm, is down, so I can't log my premade mage. Hopefully I will get a chance to test a level 80 mage before the end of the weekend. XD

Edit: Northrend also appears to be down, which means I will be unable to play right now. I guess I'll be logging the live game now. :(

Still No Beta

Every time I want to play WotLK, I either run out of time or have to download a patch. Yet another evening went by and it has now got too late to play. I did, however, finally create a banner header for the blog.

My brother wanted me to PvP with him this evening. At least my rogue is closer to getting her sword. :)

More updates and such at MMO-Champion, regarding the instances and loot therein.

Account: Activated -- Transfer: OK

I activated my WotLK beta account. I set up a premade gnome mage transfer (not much choice, really). It would have been nice to have been able to level my own mage from the start of the beta, but real life circumstances obviously prevented me from being able to play until three days ago.

I may yet transfer my mage (or maybe my priest) just to check out the new zones and quests. Either way, I will be playing the beta throughout this week. Who knows, I may even take some screenshots. :)

Edit: I transferred my mage and my priest to the PvE beta realm and my rogue to the PvP one. I'll check out Northrend tomorrow. I already saw a little bit of it in the alpha, but I'll be sure to play and see quite a bit more than back then.

Sweet Grafx

At lunch time, my brother and I did some PvP. I played my muti rogue and he played his resto druid. Running the game through WoWTunnels is freaking sweet. I get 50-60FPS out in the game world, 25-35 in cities, and 40-50 in battlegrounds. My ping also sits at around 150ms. Suffice to say, PvP is a lot better; in fact, every aspect of the game is sweet.

I will probably spend my honour points on Merciless Gladiator's Leather Helm and then replace my shoulders with the S2 ones if I manage to get enough arena points before the expansion. I may get the throwing weapon instead of shoulders for the sake of having full epic PvP gear. :p With changes to mutilate in the upcoming patch 3.0, I will stick with daggers for now and give that a spin. I still want to go swords at 80, though.

Racials and Naxxramas

I took my shaman to BRD and learned to smelt dark iron, as well as attempting Jail Break!, which I failed because my laptop froze in the middle of combat. :/

Not much else happening in the game for me atm. I respecced my priest back to PvE Holy. She has +1866 heals. Hopefully I will do something interesting this week, like some heroics with my priest and mage.

Racials are being changed. Source.

Kel'Thuzad has been defeated. Looks like the Achievements for server first boss kills work fine! Some nice loot from Naxxramas, too.

I'm Baaack!

Last night, I did SSO dailies with my druid. I also started the Onyxia attunement quest chain with my shaman. BRD is a tricky place to solo -- the dwarves have a shield bash ability that locks you out of your school for eight seconds.

This morning, I picked up fishing and cooking with my mage. They will both be a real mission to level. :/
